Brian and Michael (to me) have that erotic intimacy that all other
couples lack. It's because of their connection and need for each other.
Debbie was wrong. Justin isn't the one who got in under the wire.
Michael was. Michael was there when Brian felt like no one loved or
understood him. Michael was there to pick up the pieces and it has been
Michael who has been the glue that has held Brian's rather fragile
world together ever since.
I do believe without a shadow of a doubt that he loves Justin. But not
in the same way or to the same depth that he loves Michael. He'll give
up Justin, but never will he give up Michael. Because it just can't
happen.
As they change, so does their friendship...but its only become stronger in many ways.
While Justin got something no one else has (multiple fucks)...it was
Michael who cemented his place in Brian's heart, and its a place that
has never ONCE wavered. There is such a trust between them that nothing
and NO ONE can touch. A loyalty. THAT is what I dig and respond to for
both characters.
I truly believe that love is built on trust. And trust is exactly what their relationship is based on.
Cowlip, can I get on my knees now and BEG you for a love scene between these two. Now THAT is the stuff dreams are made of.
...that whole thing was just so B/M and just reinforces the fact that
Brian will always be in his heart and will be the only one to comfort
him in his time of need...
You know what seperates this sorts of B/M moments with the S1 moments
though? Both Brian and Michael are less playful and filrty and are
acutally more intimate and just way more loving than EVER before!
In the meantime, to B/M fans, may we grow and multiply! And to steal a
quote from Galaxy Quest, "Never give up, Never surrender!"
With those two can I find myself involuntarily grinning stupidly (the
beginning of the scene with Brian saying "you get high from one hit?"
and Mikey protesting, only to break down in gigggles, the rehashing of
the moveis they'd seen and their childhoods etc etc) and thoroughly
enjoying their friendship and history, only to then get upset and
angsty when they get upset and angsty (Brian telling Michael to go to
Portland rather fiercely) to sighing dreamily and giddily (is that a
word?) after the kiss.
That's who I am. A fanatic Brian shipper who can't stand anything that comes between my baby and his future husband.
Ben's okay, as long as he keeps his hands off my baby (Brian) and stays
away from Michael. Give him a storyline of his own and another
boyfriend and I'll have no problem what so ever with him.
I too would rather see an adorble friendhip scene with B/M then all the
male on male sex scenes with B/J. Of course nothing though can beat a
kiss between B/M.
...and you know Hal is gonna be adorable and making those looks new
fathers always have and it's gonna be even more cool to have Brian
there to joke about Mikey being a father now and saying that it's one
more thing they have in common, and fuck, why don't they just get
together - okay, maybe not exactly, but I can dream can't I?
So do I. Then that's settled. Just like Justin did with Brian.
If Brian & Michael don't end up happily together my little fantasy
world and romantic streak will be shattered beyond repair.
Love and friendship, in my opinion, go hand and hand. From the very
first episode, we saw how important the Brian/Michael bond was. The
loyalty and trust. The unconditional love and support. Even when their
friendship hits a rough patch, both characters know that they need the
other. They bring out the best in each other. Michael gives Brian
heart. Brian gives Michael strength.
A 2 minute Brian and Michael "friendship" scene, I believe says a
million times more about both characters than ANY "sex-fest" between
Brian and Justin or ANY "playing house" scene between Ben and Michael.
